Russian chess players Alexander Grischuk and Vladimir Kramnik have both won their quaterfinal tiebreak series to advance into the semifinals.

Levon Aronian (Armenia, 2808) – Alexander Grischuk (Russia, 2747) – 1.5:2.5

Vladimir Kramnik (Russia, 2785) – Teimour Radzhabov (Azerbaijan, 2744) – 5:3

Boris Gelfand and Gata Kamsky reached the semifinals yesterday, beating Veselin Topalov and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.

The semifinal pair will be the following:

Vladimir Kramnik (Russia) – Alexander Grischuk (Russia)

Boris Gelfand (Israel) – Gata Kamsky (USA)

The semifinal games will be played from May 12 to May 15.
