Dejan Radic: Will I play football again? I won’t dare to predict it now
Rostov goalkeeper Dejan Radic has spoken about his recovery after the severe injury he sustained during the Matchday 6 game of the Russian Premier League against Terek Grozny. After the collision with Terek’s Zaur Sadaev the Serbian goalkeeper has been taken off the field to the hospital, where the doctors had to remove one of his kidneys.
«I feel myself like nothing has changed. Only the postoperative suture is itching and I am getting tired faster, but my doctor said it will all pass soon. By the way, my doctors tell me: «You should live like you lived before. There are no restrictions».
ЭWill I return into football? I won’t dare to predict it now. It’s the only thing I can do, so I want to return on the pitch as soon as possible. But it is clear that I need time and patience. Now I plan to go and have a rest on the seaside and in the end of May I will go to Germany for rehabilitation. There are clinics specializing in postoperational recovery of people with one kidney,» Radic said in an interview with Sovetsky Sport.
Speaking about the collision with Zaur Sadaev, Radic said he remembers the episode, but does not blame the opponent. «Certainly it was unintentional. He just failed to slow down and ran into me with all the speed he had.»
