Agent of Rijkaard and van Basten: My clients received no offers from Spartak Moscow

Perry Overeem, representative of Frank Rijkaard and Marco van Basten, said his clients haven’t been offered any job at Spartak. The Russian club is currently in search of a new head coach after the resignation of Valery Karpin, and the rumors have been linking both Dutchmen with the Moscow-based club.

«We haven’t talked to anybody about any possible collaboration with Spartak. I think these are all just rumors. Both of my clients are currently in the Netherlands, waiting for interesting offers,» said Overeem according to Sovetsky Sport.

«Their surnames resurface after every head coach demission in a top Russian club. Were there any concrete offers in any of these cases?»

«I have been contacted for several times by people from Russia. But they were just intermediaries and they only inquired about what we think of some kind of collaboration.»
