Russian FA fines Kuban and its officials for ‘Nikezic case’
Russian Football Union (RFU) has fined Kuban Krasondar 2 million roubles (€50,000) for the violations of the Russian law committed during the termination of the contract with their former player Nikola Nikezic.
The Ethics Committe of the RFU has also defined penalties for other persons involved in the ‘Nikezic case’. Kuban general director Suren Mkrtchyan has been fined 1 million roubles (€35,000). The club’s sporting director Sergey Doronchenko has been suspended from all activities in Russian football until the end of 2011-12 season, while coach Nikolay Khlystunov – until the end of year 2011.
«We have identified violations of civil and labor law during the termination of the labor contract. They give clear evidence of the fact that the termination was performed in a wrongful manner,» told Alu Alkhanov, head of the Ethics Committee to RIA Novosti.
