Champions League campaign brings CSKA and Zenit €13 million each

Russian outfits Zenit St. Petersburg and CSKA Moscow earned nearly €13 million each in royalties during this season’s Champions League campaign, which ended at the 1/8final stages for both sides.

According to the UEFA official figures, CSKA received slightly less than the Russian champions, €12.6 million, while Rubin were the next in the highest Russian earners list – they made 3.86 million in the Europa League.

Lokomotiv were the next the list with €1.86 million, while Spartak Moscow and Alania received €90 000.

All the clubs will also receive a fee for selling the TV rights at the end of each tournament – the exact figures will be revealed by the organization later.
