Bryzgalov voted NHL Star of the Week, Kovalchuk is the runner-up

Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov has been awarded the Star of the Week title after his superb performance in the last four NHL matches. The Flyers won all four, with the Russian goalie making three shut-outs in the process.

NJ Devils forward Ilya Kovalchuk came Second in the Star list. Kovalchuk collected 9 (5+4) points this week and his side remained undefeated.

St. Louis Blues’ Yaroslav Halak was the Third Star, having made over 70 saves over the seven-day period.
