Vyacheslav Fetisov: If Bykov wants to return to CSKA and the fans forgive him – why not?

Former HC CSKA Moscow president Vyacheslav Fetisov spoke about his views on former Russia coach Vyacheslav Bykov’s possible return to the Moscow club.

«I have a perfectly good relationship with Bykov. We had a productive conversation and solved our differences,» the Russian hockey legend stated.

«Are you prepared to work in the same club with him?»

«Anything’s possible. Why did I criticise him before? Because I felt the responsibility to do so, as I recommended appointing him in the first place. As we are both Red Army men, some things are simply unacceptable. Such as leaving the club for Russia with the explanation that «this move is necessary because Salavat Yulaev is the top supplier of players for the national team». I could not understand that. But it’s not really down to me or him, it’s down to the fans. If they forgive him – why not return to CSKA,» Fetisov told Sovetsky sport.
