Tottenham aim to get £9 million for Pavlyuchenko

English outfit Tottenham Hotspurs expect to receive at least £9 million for the Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, according to a report in the Daily Star Sunday newspaper.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is looking to sell a number of fringe players in order to build up transfer funds to strengthen his squad. Among those put up for sale will be the fan-favourite Pavlyuchenko, who has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Anzhi Makhachkala and his former team Spartak Moscow.

The report claims Sebastian Bassong and Steven Pienaar could also be on their way out, with the possible destination being another Premier League side – QPR. The London club has also entered negotiations with the La Liga outfit Villareal regarding the sale of another striker, Giovani Dos Santos.
