Ognjen Koroman returns to Krylia Sovetov

Krylia Sovetov Samara have signed a contract with 32-year-old Serbian halfback Ognjen Koroman for two and a half years.

«I am happy to return to Samara, as I always recalled with pleasure those two and a half years I’ve spent here. Six years ago I did not want to leave the club, but, unfortunately, the circumstances then left me without a choice then. I’m very glad of the new opportunity to work with Alexander Tarkhanov. I hope I can help the team, and it will take a place in the middle of the standings table,» stated Koroman to the official site of Krylia Sovetov.

«We’ve been watching Koroman closely. He is in excellent shape, plays very emotionally and selflessly. Moreover, now, when he has reached maturity, Ognjen got rid of some playing and human lacks he used to have before. I have no doubt we have strenghtened our team with the right player,» stated head coach of the Samara club, Alexander Tarkhanov.

During his previous stint in Russia Koroman played for Dynamo Moscow (2002-2003), Krylia Sovetov (2003-2005), and Terek Grozny (2005-2006), scoring a total of 16 goals in 94 matches. His previous club until recently was Red Star Belgrade.

Today Koroman will take part in the evening training and tomorrow will play for Krylia in a friendly match against Slavia.
